HHello,

First off, the 2007 Georgia Games were 2 great days of wrestling-for the following reasons why.

• I want to call out some of “Our Georgia Family of Wrestling” for that this event would not have turned out as well. If it was not for some of these hard working, dedicated, fun, and strange (oops) individuals I could not have done it without ya. I know for some reason I will miss some one that did something to assist and for that reason alone I am not going to give a huge list-but a few names to mention that are not with the KMHS Boosters: The Coltek Family, The Hill Family, Hugh Meek, Sherri Flanigan/son Sean, and The Domanico’s. I really appreciate all the time, and effort you have given to any and all of the tourney’s that I am ever at or have ran. You are some of my best friends with in our Family here, and I know that if I ever needed any thing I know I can count on some of the best people that are involved in wrestling. You all have given of yourself without asking for any thing in return and for that I wish I could give you double for what you received for helping out. Know that as the saying goes “When you give freely, it comes back to you ten fold”. I have been blessed by having you around. You know my Hugs are given to you all.
• The Tourney was long? Well, everyone knows the famous sound of the “Slap on the mat”. I want to say that was barely heard in the Gym for this Ironman tourney especially on Saturday for Folkstyle. Some of the match ups were so awesome in a lot of the brackets, and due to that alone there were HARDLY any pins-so most of the matches went all 3 periods. So, with that being said you know that the wrestlers were really ‘puttin’ it all on the mat to get it done to win their match’…
• The KMHS Booster Club is one of the best clubs around to work with. I have come to know some of them as friends as well. They made sure everyone had drinks, food and gave their table workers breaks as to not get what some of us commonly call ‘Bleacher Butt’ tired…
• All of the Coaches that assisted or offered to coach anyone that needed a coach and offer to help out if we needed any help. Thanxs for that.
• No major injuries. That is always a great thing.
• The KMHS Coaching staff- Thanxs for doing a great job.
• To my new friends from the Hotel-you know who you are…
• My other cohort Jessica, she is an intern working with the Georgia Games, she is from West Virginia. I do not think she knew what to expect from our “WrestlingFamily of Georgia”.
• She is one of the best interns I have worked with all these years. I tried to explain to her in the beginning when I first began talking with her over the phone that we will be on the phone with each other constantly as the closer the event gets. She is a trooper and a blessing to work with, and I can’t imagine what would have happened without her assistance, doing all that typing, everything that goes on behind the scenes----We couldn’t help but laugh when we opened one of the ‘Goody Bags’ and we saw those hair ties in the bags-she said ‘well they were just working on Girl’s BB, goodie bags, and maybe …’ I said that our wrestler’s have a good sense of humor anyway. But thank you so much for all that you do.
• And finally is there any other way to spend a weekend than at a wrestling tourney. You’re the reason I continue to do what I do for Georgia Wrestling. You’re the best.
• Thanxs so much, to our wrestling community for showing all your support. A few minor glitches, but what tourney doesn’t have a few. For the most part our Coaches had a good time and they appreciated the opportunity for their kids to get mat time-folks that is what it is all about ‘MAT TIME’. If you want to get better-stay on the mat---------except no excuses!
